Sabi Saturday, Week 14
Sabi Saturday Linkup Week 14
So the Sabi Saturday blog hop is open for the whole week where we share. Add your link up at the bottom of the post.
- the vintage/antique items handed down or we “rescue” from garage sales and thrift stores so they don’t end up in a trash bin
- items we’ve upcycled instead of throwing them away
- items we’ve repaired in a transformative way to make them more beautiful or cooler than before
- process or tutorials on how we upcycled or repaired something to make something new, more beautiful, or cooler
- the main idea is showing how we treasure or reuse or creatively transform things that have some history to them, may be a bit worn but nevertheless are still useful/beautiful and often have character.
Sabi Saturday Linkup Week 13 Roundup
First the roundup:
15 and Meowing showes a children’s book her mother had as a child.
teleportingweena shares a desk her parent’s bought for her to use to do homework. She still put it to good use.
Crystal and Daisy Mae shows a bell that her family found with her name on it.
Cactus Catz photographed a lovely quilt.
This week’s Sabi Saturday contribution:
Upcycled Auto Parts
I thought it was pretty clever of an auto place in San Francisco to use auto parts to provide extra security over their windows instead of iron bars.
Linking up
You can choose to do a pingback or add your link in the Mr. Linkys. Also feel free to leave a link in comments. The advantage to Mr. Linkys is that it can feature an image from your post. Please tag your post Sabi Saturday.

Rotated 90 degrees it would make a good door!
I hadn’t thought of that but you are totally right. It would make a fabulous door.
I agree there is a steampunk vibe going on. Very cool.
That is a classy and clever way to protect their windows.
I thought so too!
I like that idea to use car parts instead of regular steel bars on the windows! 🙂
Me too! So much more creative and also to me has kind of a steampunk vibe. My dad had iron bars put on the windows here after someone tried to break in. I wish I was creative like they are so I could make it look cooler. It’s nice to not have to worry too much about someone breaking in, though.
Those are really some cool parts!
I thought so too, especially how they fitted them together, very creative
What a funky idea! I love how people can be so creative with things I’d never have considered.
I hope you have a lovely weekend 🙂

I agree. I wish I had that kind of a mind to see possibilities in random things. Hope you’re having a great weekend too!
