My Calico cat Pinkie’s Breakfast in Bed

My Calico cat Pinkie’s Breakfast in Bed

I was planning breakfast in bed and put the tray down.

Pinkie immediately leapt up and said, “Hey, you brought me a new bed!”

No more breakfast in bed for me. Sighs.

This is my … well Pinkie’s breakfast tray and one of my favorite cat mysteries. A librarian loves bringing his friendly maine coon to work with him and solves murders. A library, a cat, a mystery — the perfect trifecta. You can see why I love this series. This is the first one in the series. And since it reminded me of one of my favorite real-life library cats, the second book is Dewey. I loved the book so much, I had also bought a Japanese version so my Okinawan mom could read it too. Her english was pretty good but she preferred to read in Japanese. She loved it too. (This was a few years ago, before she passed from cancer). 1. Well done on finding a job. You definitely need the time off in between to recharge your batteries. Welcome back we missed you. Great photo of Pinkie. Love mom and Spike.x????

    1. Yep, it’s still Pinkie’s favorite bed. I put out a nice fluffy quilt so hopefully the bribe will work. I am soooo looking forward to breakfast in bed. Crossing fingers.

    1. Pinkie purrs thank you. Well, as for me, I’m happy to be catching up on my bills. I’m getting stronger. Legs can handle the 10 hours now but my feet are still dog tired by the end of the day. Once the feet are happy, I think I will be happy too.

    1. Thank you on the congrats! Pinkie is happy and she still “owns” my breakfast tray, laughing. It’s her favorite bed for some reason.

  2. Charlee: “Good news about the job!
Chaplin: “Except for the ‘feel-like-you’re-dying part of course.”
Charlee: “And as for the tray well you know, that’s basically a box without sides.”
Chaplin: “And you know how we cats feel about boxes!”

  3. Awww, Pinkie is so cute. I linked this post to Awww Mondays. Pinkie asked me to add her.

I’m so happy you have a job and physical jobs will really get you in shape. Good for you.

It’s also great to see a post from you. I’ve missed you.

Have a fabulous day and week, my friend. ♥

    1. Thank you for linking Pinkie. Pinkie purrs thank you too.

I am getting stronger weekly. My feet still hurt but now my legs don’t. The legs are the strongest part of me I think. Back is doing much better too. Gets tired but not longers screams at me like it did the first week.

I am slowly starting to do posts again which is making Midnight and Pinkie happy. They love showing off.

Hope you’re having a great weekend.

  4. Hey lovely, welcome back – those sneaky cats, eh, they think they own everything! ? Well done on finding work (and a place with decent medical insurance), it sounds like quite a jolt to the system though so make sure you get plenty of rest when you can. Blog-related maintenance can be a pain, so it’s good you’ve got some of that out of the way (and it shows as secure on my browser now the certificates have been renewed). Hope the week ahead is a good one for you!
    Caz xx

    1. Yeah, I do free secure certificates so I have to update them myself. It’s not hard but there are a lot of steps and if you skip one or get one letter wrong, you have to start over. Not something to do when you are bone tired, lol.

Thank you for the welcome back. Yeah, the cats do think they own everything — and you know what? They do! (laughing). Work is ok, tough on the body but I’m starting to get used to it. My feet still are killing me but my legs now can handle it. I got new shoes so hopefully they will make it easier on my feet too. I find I spend one day off just sleeping and I don’t really feel rested until Sunday — the day I go back but I am getting stronger with each week so that should change. You’ll notice because I’ll post more — yay!

  5. So good to see you back in the groove. Loads of luck for the new beginnings. I bet you will flourish.

Sending you tons of good vibes, sweety!
    Have missed you around.

    Love and hugs
