J is for Jet

J is for Jet

Leaving for Cal for a week on a jet.

I was freaking out because my cat care fell through at the last minute and I thought I had it taken care of three weeks ago.  Luckily a couple of friends will be helping me out and popping by to take care of Pinkie and Midnight.

Learning if you’re planning on cat care when you’re going out of town, you should have a plan a, b, c, and d.  A fell through.  B didn’t work out.  C was out of town. Out of desperation I tried D and that worked.  Yay.

It’ll be the first time I’ve been away from them for this long.  A bit worried about it actually. They may be upset with me when I get back. I’m going to miss them.

Meantime that means I’ll be behind on reading again for about a week and will have to catch up when I get back.  Sorry about that.

See you all soon.

  1. Hope you enjoy your stay in CA!

We are leaving at the end of this month as well for 10 days and are extremely worried about how Dizzy will fare. Since we don’t really have anyone we trust enough for that extended of a time, we’ll likely have to board her so she’s safe 🙁

So I do know exactly how you feel! It is hard to leave for an extended time. Hoping you enjoy your stay and all goes well with your kiddos. Glad you have someone you can trust ♥

    1. I can understand how worrying it is. I hope Dizzy does great at the boarding place and that you enjoy you ten days.

    1. I don’t know about having them on hand, more like kept making up new ones when the old one fell through. I was so glad when Plan D worked out. I did have a great time and it was nice of Joe and MaryLou to help me out like that.

  2. Ahh yes, that song I sing every time we fly somewhere! I know how it is to worry about the cats when you’re gone. Glad you found someone to come in. We have a trusted neighbor who comes to feed our cat, and also the outside cats and fill the bird feeder, too. 🙂

    1. That’s very cool that you have a neighbor that can do it for you. That must be comforting any time you have to travel. Glad you like the song. It’s one of my favorites.

  3. Glad you have the cat care sorted now, it’s a nightmare when plans for something fall through and there’s no back-up plan readily on hand. Have a great time & we’ll all be here when you get back. The kittykats will be well taken care of, and I’m sure absence will only make the heart grow fonder 😉
    Caz xx

    1. Thank you. Yes, I was very lucky that Joe and MaryLou stepped up and helped me out. and it was so true that my absence made Pinkie a lot more affectionate for about 3 days … then she realized the weather was great and she wanted to go outside and play, lol. I’m glad they were both fine. It was the first time I left them behind for that long. A weekend once in a long while was the longest before.

    1. thank you! I was lucky Joe and Mary Lou could help out. Pinkie and Midnight were definitely a little fatter when I got back so I don’t think they suffered much although I think they were lonely. Midnight’s been talking at me all day long.
