Feline Friday: My calico cat Pinkie saves her paw

 

Pinkie waves her paw “bye-bye” when I roll out of bed to get ready for work.  Ahhh, the life of a cat.  To nap as long as  you want to.  That is the dream.

Personal note:  What’s up with me?  As some of you know, I thought I’d get a physical job to balance out the stuff I like to do — sitting down like reading and blogging.  I thought I’d become more fit.  Plus it had decent medical benefits which at my age (59 1/2)  is a huge consideration.  It’s a big warehouse job where a lot of online orders come in.  I’ve moved to the section where we pack the boxes which is a bit easier on me than shelving.  Still walking a lot but I’m better at meeting the productivity goals.  It’s 12-hours, 3 days so right now I’m still foggy most days as I’m tired.  I thought by now I’d be less so but it seems to be a work in progress.

Like a nut, I’ve signed up for a blogging class (like who has time?) to learn some of the structural stuff of blogging. So for the class blog I have to be very focused on one topic.  I thought I’d break out the previous weight loss posts I did and do one on that (I’d like to lose a little more so that’s the motivation).  Do you remember the TTThursday posts?  I thought TTThursdays (for Thunder Thighs Thursdays or later Thin Thighs Thursdays) but I think I better get away from doing things on certain days because that seems to be hard for me these days.  Plus some people might get upset at “thunder thighs” — you never know.  Any suggestions for a good name for a blog with those posts?  I’m drawing a blank.  I thought “something sunset” or “sunset something”.  I’d like to use the sunset thing because I’m over 55.  I need another word though.  I laughed at myself because I thought “Sunset Fitness” (nope, sounds like a fitness center so didn’t like it) which segued into “Sunset Fits” and imagined a cartoon of me having a fit at sunset.  My sense of humor is a little warped.

Lately work has ramped up because people are ordering more online to avoid being around people due to the coronavirus.  An uber driver told me when she went to Walmart, the bleach isle is all sold out.  Another uber driver told me he wipes his car seats with bleach every day. People are understandably being more careful about hygiene.  The coronavirus is impacting my job in another unexpected way — with more orders coming in, I have to work a mandatory day overtime.  It’s as busy as Christmas time due to all the worries over the virus.  I hope you all are okay and staying healthy — whether it’s the coronavirus or the usual flu that’s also going round, I hope you don’t get it and if you do, I hope you recover quickly. Drink lots of orange juice and stay healthy.

 

 

You can use the Amazon search bar to do any search at Amazon as I did with “disinfecting wipes”. Results vary.  I thought I’d get Lysol or Clorox wipes in the results but other brands showed up instead.  I trust Clorox because my mom used their bleach when i was growing up for cleaning so I’m ordering some Clorox wipes.  It doesn’t hurt to be a little extra careful and wipe the shopping cart handle when I go food shopping. A little paranoia won’t hurt.
