C is for Cat, of course

I thought I’d share a visual senryu/haiku I did on Cactus Haiku for the Cat post. I don’t think I’ve shared it here before but I shared it with other poems on my Cactus Haiku Pinterest and this one is one of the most shared ones of the ones I did. My memories not what it used to be though so if I did share it here before, oops.

You might also like the cat senryu/haiku I did on Cactus Haiku today with Pinkie’s photo.

Day 3 of the A to Z challenge. If you want to sign up, you can until the 6th. The signup list is here.

If you want to see other participants, the master list is here.

They give you a survivor badge if you can tough it out for all the letters. I think I might have tried doing this last year but didn’t make it past the first week. I have a vague recollection of that but for some reason am thinking autumn instead of spring.  Oh well.  Maybe this year I will get that survivor badge.

If you do the A to Z challenge, let me know and I’ll visit you.  I found a few cat people on the list but not all that much.  Nutty, I know.  Who doesn’t love cats?  The other cat blogs I recognized from Comedy Plus’s Feline Friday linkups are

15 and meowing — she’s showing off her cat crew as well as giving cat advice.  check her out.

Curious as a Cathy — although she’s doing her art sketches for this.  they’re cool. check them out.

These are new to me blogs that I checked out because with their titles I thought maybe cats?

Herding Cats and Burning Soup — At first glance, looks more books, quotes and household but her cats show up inside the posts like in March 30th InstaWednesday post.  Looks like she has a cute crew.

2 Cats and a laptop — She writes stories.  I don’t see her cats but I live in hope.

I guess I will have to look further.  Neither of these turn out to have many cat posts.  I like literature, cooking and tons of other stuff though so I’ll probably end up visiting other A to Z blogs. Probably cooking.  I’m just surprised because I thought there were a ton of cat blogs out there that I have yet to discover.

You can use the Amazon search bar to do any search at Amazon like I did with “cat yarn”. It’s fun to see what comes up.

    1. This comment showed up but if you sent a previous one I don’t think it arrived. Sandee said sometimes her comment doesn’t show so she has to redo it and she’s on wordpress. One other person is having trouble too and they’re on blogspot. So I don’t know why the occasional person has some comments not show but it doesn’t seem to be related to whether they’re on wordpress or not. I am sorry if you’re having problems too. I moderate everything to avoid losing the comments into the spam folder but they usually will show within 24 hours.

    1. As you can see I am trying out the A to Z that you told me about. It’s a little crazy as I started late and had to do a little catchup.

I can see C should be for Cathy but I don’t think the cats will let you get away with it. Uh oh— Cat fight! lol

I love your mermaid sketches from the movie.

    1. oh you don’t have to have a cat. it’s just the first letter of the alphabet. So april 1 is A. April 2 is B and so forth. Some people are doing personal/diary blogs; many are doing writing/author blogs. ONly a few have animal blogs. You can join until the 6th but you’ll have some catching up to do. It’s an interesting challenge. ABC was easy but I’m worried about Friday because it is “E”. Not sure what to do with E.

  1. I was surprised there weren’t more cat people in the challenge. You did miss Four-Legged Furballs. 🙂

    1. Yeah, me too! Oh, I’ll have to look that one up. I did a search for cats, not furballs so that’s a good idea to do.

  2. I think there are quite a few cat posts and lovers, CC but I’m not familiar with the A-Z meme so can’t help you there. One of my fav cat bloggers is Brian and the gang over at Brian’s Home. I always loved dogs and was cat tolerant but after three years of taking care of my cousin’s little guy I’m afraid I’ve gone “full cat.” (From a TV show where a character thinks she’s a cat.)

    1. I know Brian too! He has a great crew of cats. Yeah, it’s not hard to go full cat although dogs are cool too. I just prefer cats for myself. I think they are easier to take care of but maybe it’s the same.

    1. Midnight purrs thank you — of course, C is for Cats, Midnight says. And A and B and ….

Hope you’re having a great Feline Friday!
