I cannot say I ever saw a library cat, but that does not mean there was none there.
I’ve never been to a library or a bookstore with a cat but have read quite a few mysteries that had them. A real-life story was Dewey the library cat which they translated in Japanese so I was able to share it with my mom who preferred reading in Japanese. Cute story.
