E is for Cat Eyes

After much rumination, I settled on E for eyes.  Isn’t Midnight’s eyes fabulous?

(note: I actually had to darken the irises because they did that weird eye flashback thing — not red, but a dark green which I had never seen before.)

Cat Care Solutions did a fabulous post on How Do Cats See Color? which shows the difference between human and cat eyes.  There are even duplicate scenes showing in one how humans see it and in the other how cats see it. Very cool.

If you’re doing the A to Z challenge, let me know and I’ll try to visit you.

You can use the Amazon search bar to do any search at Amazon like I did with “cat eyes”. Not surprisingly I got cat eyes glasses.

  2. It looks as if you used one of those artistic filters, very pretty. Midnight’s eyes are mysterious and beautiful. Did I tell you one of the first kitty’s I took care of was a black cat named Tabby?

    1. I didn’t know about tabby. reminds me of samantha’s daughter tabitha in bewitched. did you see tht show? it was on reruns forever in b&w. thank you for the lovely compliment. Midnight purrs thank you too!

  3. Midnight is a very good looking cat. The EYES have it for sure.

Nice of you to link Holly’s post. I read that post yesterday. I learned so much I didn’t know.

Have a fabulous weekend, my friend. Scritches to your babies. ♥

    1. yeah, I learned a lot too. I thought it was a very cool post. Midnight purrs thank you. Laughing about the eyes have it.

Hope you’re having a great weekend.

  4. Fascinating to learn how cats see color. I think this is why biology students study cat’s eye anatomy, because it’s very different. I’m also trying to do the A-Z challenge, but quickly trying to catch up since I started a little late!

    1. AtoZ a little intense. I started late too and then like a nut decided to do it on my instagram too which doesn’t count for their list. I like that it’s short-term and a way to be introduced to other blogs too.

I found the way cats see color fascinating too.

        1. The instagram aren’t keeping up but with their giving us Sundays off, my haiku and catz blogs have managed to stay on top of the letter of the day. Now that I’m home, I’m hoping to catch up on reading other people’s too.

I think writing daily does teach you to write on the fly — and how so many things can be the subject of a post. I’ve been enjoying your posts. You know a lot of music which is cool because you’re introducing me to new music usually when you do a post that includes music. I enjoy your writing and it’s fun how you can throw a lot of prompts into one post and come out with a fun story. good luck on finishing the challenge. We only hae 9 more days to go!

          1. Thank you! In the past few days, I was celebrating Easter with my friends, so I’m busy playing catch up again. After it’s done, I hope to catch up on reading other people’s post as well! Good luck.

            1. I’m glad they have that Xcel sheet. I was planning the same thing. Maybe that’s something several people do afterwards because during you’re so busy keeping up with the letter of the day.

  5. Oh my goodness! You just made my week! Honest to goodness, I am deeply honored and touched. I mean that. You have no idea how much your kindness means!

Midnight’s eyes are very fabulous, indeed!! ♥ Look at all those colors, wow. Such a great photo!

Thank you again. All my love to you and your babies! ♥

    1. I am so glad. That was a very cool post and after I did Midnight’s eyes, I realized a lot of us catlovers would love to read it too. I know Theresa popped over and I hope a few others too.
