Awww, she’s a cutie pie. We had our beloved Little Bit for almost 13 years and she weighed 85 pounds. She thought she was a lap dog too. We let here think that too.

Wow, Little Bit was big. What kind of dog was she? It’s hard to lose a pet; it’s the same as losing family. I bet she was a happy dog though especially when you all let her be a lapdog.
She was a flat coat retriever. A bird dog and she so loved to hunt birds with dad. She was so cherished and loved and she knew it. 🙂
She sounds awesome! I’ve never heard of a “flat coat” retriever before but I’ve heard of other retrievers. I’ve heard retrievers are very smart as well as loving and loyal. It sounds like she and your hubby had a great time hunting.
Since I, too, live with a 60 pound “lap” dog, this post made me smile.
Glad you enjoy it. Kris and Lisa adore their Echo so it makes them smile too when she tries to climb up (even when they push her back down, so she just ends up laying her head on their lap)
