Blog hops & Link ups:

Awww Mondays at Comedy Plus, a blog hop of photos that make you say Awww!  (Pinkie and Midnight always make me say Awww!)

Second Wind Leisure Perspectives Sunday Stills Photo Challenge : Show Us Something #Green : ok, I cheated a bit on this one.  the carpet behind Midnight is actually orange but I did a color shift in Photoshop (after I made the photo more arty in Topaz Labs) to make the background green in honor of St. Pattys.

You can use the Amazon search bar to do any search at Amazon. As you can see, I did a search on “black cat t-shirt” because I was curious as to what was out there. They look pretty cool. Midnight definitely approves. Winter is right, I should think of making a black cat or calico cat t-shirt and dust off my drawing skills.

As an Amazon affiliate, I may earn a fee if you click on the above links and buy something. This has no effect on your price. You pay the same price you would normally. P.S. By the way I want to say “thank you” again. After I mentioned a couple people bought items, a few more did. Woo hoo! In the last few days, several people have clicked an Amazon link or the search bar and bought something from Amazon. For the first time ever, I have earned $16.26 this month which is the most in two years. Up until now I’ve earned $0 to $2 most months. I get that $16.26 is dinner for two (I know a good Chinese restaurant with a great special) but it’s exciting to me. I am a long ways to making a living from blogging but I am still dreaming of it. So to whoever used my page to buy from Amazon, thank you! Especially since Amazon won’t send you the money until you’re over $10. The last time I was paid was July 2018 for $11.09. It’s taken me eight months this time to get over $10 again which is an improvement. It took 11 months to get that first payment. When Amazon sends me the money on April 1st, it will be my second payment. Thank you to whoever bought through my link. Does a happy dance.

  1. Aww! Midnight is precious!

Congratulations on receiving some Amazon sales. It is definitely no easy feat to earn consistent income through affiliate marketing. I wish you all the best though. Here are to many many more sales through your website. God bless!

    1. Midnight purrs thank you!

Yeah, I’m sure there are many people who are good at making the sales. Always someone out there is saying they are making $10,000 a month. I don’t need that. I’d like to figure out a way to both make an income that allows me to travel cross-country with my cats and also help people. Right now, I feel like I’m sharing and making friends. Sometimes I bring information that’s interesting. But I don’t think I’ve helped anyone although a lot of people have helped me. They’ve been supportive while I lost 50 pounds and that’s helped me to keep going. I hope I’ll be able to help someone out there in my turn. I’m like a lot of us bloggers out there: I want to keep writing, make money by writing and help people. Thanks for commenting and popping by.

  2. I could have sworn I left a comment yesterday, but it’s not here. I think you comment system doesn’t like me. You’re not the only one. Anyway Midnight is a most good looking kitty.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect day, Midnight. My best to your mom and Pinkie. ♥

    1. Midnight really appreciates your trying again. He is purring thank you.

(I appreciate your trying again too. I’m sorry wordpress isn’t passing through all your comments. Another person is having trouble too. Thank you for trying again.)

Hope you’re having a great weekend.

  3. What a beautiful image! You have a great eye and great editing skills. I have yet to spend time in my Light Room, but hope to this summer…for now PicMonkey and I are good friends 🙂 thanks for joining Sunday Stills and hope to see more of your work!

    1. Thank you for popping over! I’m glad that it’s ok to do digitally manipulated photos on Sunday Stills and will definitely join some more. I haven’t heard of PicMonkey so will check into that. The program I was using is Topaz Studio Labs and it’s a free app (for desktops and laptops. I don’t think they have a version for phones) if you’d like to try it. I did an intro at

if you want to check out the app sometime, the link is in the first paragraph. I haven’t tried Lightroom yet either.

    1. His eyes are actually a golden amber but I shifted it a little, adding blue to make green, in honor of St Patricks day. He loves having emerald eyes.

  4. Such a cutie. I tried Amazon’s Affiliate program once and never got paid because I didn’t get to the $10 mark before I stopped it.

    1. Yeah, Amazon is a lot harder to earn fees these days. When I first did it thirty years ago when I made a website on women surrealists, I was getting $10-$30 pretty regularly monthly so it always paid for the website. Now it’s very different. I think it’s because most people already have an Amazon account and just go directly to their account.

    1. Thank you! He’s a lovely subject. He’d purr his thanks but he’s napping so he’s snoring instead. A soft snore.
